Single-house renovation briefing
Refurbishment and extension of a single-family house of 220m2.
A family fell in love with a small single-family house, built in the 1950s. The house needed a good reform since it was not in good condition, as well as an extension to be able to adapt it to the needs and tastes of a family with 4 children.
The reform project was complex because the topography of the plot was arranged in different staggered levels. The first level was at street level, the access to the house was on floor -1, where the parking and storage rooms were.
The other level of the site was just above the ground floor, and on this level it was possible to access it from the outside via a staircase located on the right-hand side of the main facade, where the main entrance to the house was reached. And the last level, at the end of the plot where the pool has been located. Entering the house was the distributor, which led to a totally open space and access to the second floor through a staircase designed especially for the space.
The extension of this house was carried out on the south facade, where the kitchen-dining room was located on the ground floor, while on the first floor part of the existing distribution would be maintained, but the extension to the south facade would be used to make a master bedroom with a bathroom and a solarium terrace.
